For years, the philosophy of United Package Liquors and Lor Corporation has been, “You are never too tall to reach out and help someone in need.” Over the last several years, United Package Liquors and Lor Corporation have been involved with various philanthropic projects benefiting organizations throughout Central Indiana.

United Package Liquors has also collected donations in its 22 retail stores which have been matched dollar for dollar by each individual store and Lor Corporation. The money collected was given to various charities helping those in need.

The efforts started taking a life of their own. Employees of both United Package Liquors and Lor Corporation wanted to make an even bigger impact in the community, so in 2005 the United Hope Foundation was created.

Timeline

2005
The United Hope Foundation was founded. Donations were made to over 25 organizations serving those in need. More than $30,000 was given to charities in Central Indiana.

2006
Greens for Hope Golf Classic was created. The inaugural event raised more than $60,000 half of which supported more than 50 different social service agencies.

In 2006, More than $80,000 was given to local charities.

2007
Look for great things to come, because we plan to help even more organizations.
